Aleksander Ceferin has been elected to succeed banned Michel Platini as president of Uefa.

The Slovenian federation says its leader, Aleksander Ceferin, will enter the UEFA presidential contest. The federation says Ceferin confirmed his intentions after a regional meeting of 14 UEFA member federations in Moscow.
