
The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, has recruited 600 teachers in the Yemeni city of Seiyun as part of a project launched to resolve the teacher shortage problem facing the schools of Wadi Hadhramaut.
The project, "Teacher of Generations", is a step up and distinct initiative as part of the ERC's efforts to support the educational process in Yemen. The ERC also launched another support initiative which will see the distribution of 10,000 school bags to students in the Al Mahra province.
Commenting on the UAE efforts in Yemen, an official from the Hadhramaut province praised the humanitarian initiatives launched by the UAE leadership and its people towards their brothers in Yemen.
"The historic stance of the UAE with the people of Yemen confirms its commitment to improve life and help people overcome the conditions of the current crisis."
The official also expressed his appreciation for ERC's efforts in enhancing services needed by his country's people in all fields, including education, health, social and the infrastructure which have helped alleviate suffering and provide living requirements
