
The Regional Conference for the Arab States on Education Post-2015 started here on Tuesday under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi with the participation of Minister of Education Mahmoud Abul Nasr and representatives of 14 Arab nations.
The conference, organized by the UNESCO regional office, is attended by ministers of education of Arab nations and senior officials in the Arab world.
The event, to run till Thursday, provides a good opportunity for Arab nations to express their views and their education needs.
Addressing the conference, the Egyptian minister conveyed greetings of President Sisi and called on the participants to unify efforts to promote education in the Arab world.
The conference, the first to be held in Egypt at the level of Arab education ministers since 2008, aims at making best use of regional development in education and resolving problems in this respect, he added.
The conference aims at promoting regional recommendations on education post-2015, he said.
