A 15-year-old student was stabbed in the stomach by another with a pocket-knife during a brawl on Sunday morning at Rashid Bin Al Waleed Secondary School of Quryat province.
An official source at the Royal Oman Police (ROP) told Gulf News that the student is in critical condition and at Khoulah Hospital in the capital, Muscat.
The student attacked his classmate during break time.
Police said the brawl was honour-related, without elaborating.
The student who stabbed the boy is currently in police custody — it is yet unclear whether he intended to murder his classmate.
Murder is rare in Oman. In 2015, only six murders were reported
