Princess Sabeeka opens International Businesswomen
Manama - Muslimchronicle

Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), patronised today the opening of the second International Businesswomen’s Forum and Exhibition held under the theme "Female Engineers in the Business World".

Marking the three-day event, which is organised by Bahrain Businesswomen Society (BBS), HRH Princess Sabeeka hailed the initiative of BBS in organising the specialised forum and exhibition. She pointed out the need to focus the forum on Bahrain Women’s Day, which was dedicated this year to celebrate women in the engineering field, and highlight contribution of the Bahraini female engineers to the national economy.

HRH Princess Sabeeka underlined the importance of the forum in highlighting Bahrain’s experience in women’s economic empowerment, pointing out that the Bahraini model has a pioneering international status be it through the United Nations’ adoption of her award in women’s empowerment at the international level or through Bahrain’s progress in terms of indices on women’s presence in various fields.

After the forum’s opening session, HRH Princess opened the associated expo and got informed about the participation of businesswomen from Bahrain and beyond.
