Fifty people in the southern Libyan city of Ghat had food poisoning on Monday after eating a meal at a local restaurant, an official at the city's hospital told Xinhua.
"The hospital received 50 cases of food poisoning," said Abdul Razzaq al-Saghir, director of medical affairs at Gatt Hospital.
"The reason is eating pizza from a restaurant in the city," he said, adding "the number of cases of food poisoning is expected to rise."
Al-Saghir added the hospital meets difficulties as it is going through with lack of medical staff and supplies."
