The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, today distributed supplies of food aid to the student halls of residence of Hadramaut University in Mukalla Directorate, as part of its rescue programme to support local students, under the framework of the UAE’s support for the Yemeni educational sector.
Ahmed Al Niyadi, Deputy Head of the ERC Team in Hadramaut, said that their distribution of rescue aid aims to fulfil the needs of the students who are suffering from tough economic conditions due to the lack of basic food supplies.
He also highlighted the desire of the ERC to continue its humanitarian projects and deliver rescue aid to vulnerable persons in the various regions of Hadramaut, reflecting their solidarity with people of Yemen.
Mahmoud Al Tamimi, Director-General of Training and Students Services at Hadramaut University, praised the role of the ERC in enhancing the living conditions of their students by providing continuous humanitarian aid.
