Manama - Muslimchronicle

Deputy Premier, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, has sent a cable of congratulations to the Representative of HM the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Youth Council and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, on his qualification for the IRONMAN World Championship which will be held in Hawaii in October 2018.

HH Shaikh Nasser was able to qualify for the international event after winning first place in the IRONMAN Middle East Amateur Championship which was hosted by Bahrain from November 23 to 25.

The deputy premier congratulated HH Shaikh Nasser on the exploit which, he said, was the fruitful outcome of the tremendous efforts he had exerted while training and preparing for the world championship, which resulted in his winning the first place in the event in which an elite of professionals, amateurs and military personnel participated.

HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak stressed Shaikh Nasser’s remarkable role in promoting this sport in Bahrain as part of his efforts to boost the sport momentum in the kingdom.

He also lauded the procedures taken by the organising committee to ensure the success of the world event.
