His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa urged to hold on more to national unity amid current regional developments, calling for more decisiveness in maintaining national security and stability.


HRH the Premier was speaking as he received today members of the royal family, senior officials, members of the Representatives Council, economic, media and press figures and citizens. He called for more cooperation and unity to achieve forecast aspirations for growth and prosperity, pointing out that any terrorist act wherever it is has repercussions on all. Therefore, he said, punishment has to be consistent with the crime as security is uncompromising.

HRH the Prime Minister lauded the royal directives, describing them as a beacon of light for the government to achieve its goals of further promoting social welfare while preserving national security and stability. He hailed the role of journalists and media persons in highlighting national issues and raising social awareness of the need to stand united in confronting challenges as well as preserving achievements and building on them. 

HRH the Premier hailed the efforts of the legislative branch in bolstering Bahrain’s status and developing the kingdom’s legislative infrastructure to cope with economic and security developments and promote investments. He praised the citizens’ feelings expressed via mass media and social media websites marking his birthday.

HRH the Prime Minister reviewed with the audience the latest Arab and international developments, condemning the heinous terror incident that occurred in Egypt on November 24. He said the despicable act affirms that terrorism has no religion or nation. He called for more concerted efforts to take rigorous procedures to root out terrorism and dry up its sources, underlining keenness of the GCC and Arab countries on their security and stability. He also underscored the need for more awareness of the plots aimed at undermining security and stability and impeding growth.
