The Arab quartet committee will meet here Monday to discuss steps that should be taken at the UN to present a draft resolution condemning the Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands before the end of this year.
The committee will meet under Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, said Palestinian Ambassador in Cairo Jamal al Shobaky in statements to MENA Tuesday.
Attending the meeting will be the top diplomats of Jordan, Morocco and Palestine, as well as the Arab League chief, Shobaky said.
The draft resolution will also call for ending the Israeli occupation and condemning the building of settlements, he added.
Egypt, as a member of the UN Security Council, pays great attention to the Palestinian cause and is coordinating with other members about steps to revive the peace process, the diplomat noted.
